Honda Crider 180 Turbo for Export: Specifications, Stock Condition and What to Check

We have brand-new Honda Crider 180 Turbo sedans available for export from China. This guide sets out the factory specification, how the three versions differ, what our photographs show about the stock, and the four questions that decide whether a China-market Honda suits your market: how the car leaves China, which side it is driven from, what the Chinese specification means in your country, and who services it after delivery.

2. Where the Crider sits in 2026

The Crider was GAC Honda's compact sedan for China, deliberately sized above the global City. Its 4,766 mm length and 2,730 mm wheelbase give rear passengers legroom closer to a mid-size car, a strong point for family buyers and for taxi and ride-hailing work. The current generation arrived in 2018. The 2024 model year, launched on 26 May 2023, was its final update, and the model has since left GAC Honda's line-up. In April 2026 the company said the older plant that had mainly built the Crider would stop production in June 2026.

Three practical consequences follow for an overseas buyer:

  • New units are remaining stock, not fresh production. A new Crider today may have been built many months ago. The build month, not the word "new", tells you what to expect from the tyres, battery and fluids, so we state it for every unit.
  • The design is mature. The car had been in production in its current form since 2018, and its 1.0-litre turbo and CVT combination is also used by Honda in other models and markets, so its behaviour in service is well understood.
  • Parts planning matters more than usual. Service items come from a mechanical family shared with other Honda models, but body panels, lamps and trim are Crider-specific and come from China. Plan a parts package with the order rather than after the first accident.

3. Factory specification

The figures below are the manufacturer's published data for the 2024 model year Crider 180 Turbo CVT. All three versions share the engine, transmission, body and tyres.

4. Luxury, Smart and Flagship: what differs

China sold the 180 Turbo in three versions. The differences are in equipment, and one of them, driver assistance, is the item overseas buyers most often assume and should never assume. Based on the published configuration data for the 2024 model year:

ItemLuxurySmartFlagship
Centre touchscreen8-inch9-inch9-inch
Air conditioningManualManualAutomatic
Electric sunroofNoYesYes
Honda SENSING driver assistanceNoNoYes
LaneWatch passenger-side cameraNoNoYes
Kerb weight1,290 kg1,303 kg1,313 kg

Common to all three: LED headlamps, keyless entry and start, an electric parking brake and 215/55 R16 tyres. On the Flagship, Honda SENSING combines a camera at the top of the windscreen with a radar sensor low in the front bumper to provide collision mitigation braking with forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation and traffic sign recognition.

A version name on a quotation is not proof of equipment. For each unit we confirm the nameplate, then check the equipment item by item, so a Smart is never sold to you as a Flagship.

5. What the stock photographs show

The photographs on the model page are of an actual unit in stock, taken outside a dealer showroom. They show the signs of a car that has never been handed to a customer:

  • Transport film still on the bonnet and front wings
  • Plastic covers on the seats, headrests and door trims, and a protective wrap on the steering wheel boss
  • Paper floor protection in the driver's footwell
  • Two remote keys in the centre console tray

A logistics tag on the front number-plate mount has been blurred in our photographs, as has a factory build sheet left on the passenger seat. Both carry identifiers that belong in your purchase documents, not on a public web page.

Photographs alone do not establish age or condition. For the specific unit you reserve, we send the following before contract:

  1. The VIN plate and the manufacturer's nameplate, which shows the month of manufacture
  2. A video of a cold start and of the odometer reading
  3. The date codes on every tyre, including the spare if one is fitted
  4. A battery test result
  5. A diagnostic scan listing any stored fault codes
  6. Close-ups of the paint where the transport film meets the body

6. China-market specification: what to check

The Crider was engineered for Chinese buyers, roads and fuel. Most of it works anywhere; a few items need a decision before you order.

  • Drive side. Left-hand drive only. There is no factory right-hand-drive Crider, and converting a modern car with airbags, electric power steering and driver-assist sensors is not a practical route. If your country drives on the left, check whether it registers left-hand-drive passenger cars at all. Our LHD or RHD guide covers the rules by market type.
  • Interface and connected services. Menus, voice control and the connected-car system are set up for China, and the online services run on Chinese networks. Ask for a recording of the language settings on the actual unit if an English interface matters to your customers.
  • Fuel. The manufacturer specifies unleaded 92 RON or higher. Where the standard pump grade is lower, use the next grade up. Background on fuel quality in export markets: fuel quality and engine selection.
  • Emissions. China 6b is broadly comparable to Euro 6 and stricter on some limits. If your market sets an emission threshold for imports, confirm which evidence it accepts: what each market actually accepts.
  • Documentation language. The owner's manual, maintenance booklet and warning labels are in Chinese.

7. Export route and documents

Since 1 January 2026, China has required the manufacturer's written after-sales service confirmation before it licenses the export of a vehicle under the used-vehicle route within 180 days of its first registration. The rule targets new cars that were registered briefly and exported as "used", and it changed how new cars from traders reach overseas buyers.

For that reason we state three things for each unit before you pay a deposit: whether it leaves China as a new vehicle or as a registered one, its registration date if it has one, and the documents that travel with it. The general document set for vehicle shipments is in our export documentation checklist, and the VIN on every document must match the car: VIN and engine number matching.

8. Warranty and service after delivery

Manufacturer warranty on a China-market vehicle is administered through the Chinese dealer network. Do not assume a Honda distributor in your country will accept a warranty claim on a car it did not import; most will not. Plan instead for:

  • A written statement of what the exporter covers, for how long, and how a defect found on arrival is remedied. Our approach is set out in warranty structure for imported vehicles.
  • A first-service parts package shipped with the car: oil and air filters, cabin filter, brake pads and the specified CVT fluid.
  • A workshop with a diagnostic tool that covers Honda modules, not only generic engine codes.
  • An arrival inspection against the origin photographs: pre-delivery inspection for imported vehicles.

9. How to reserve a unit

Send the destination country and port, the quantity, your colour and version preference, and whether you need roll-on/roll-off or container shipment (the two compared). We reply with unit-specific photographs and video, the VIN and build month, the export route and document list, and FOB or CIF pricing.

10. Frequently asked questions

Is the Crider still made?

No. The 2024 model year was the last, and the manufacturer has said the plant that mainly built it stops production in June 2026. New units available now are stock built before production ended.

Can I get a right-hand-drive Crider?

No. It was built in left-hand drive only, for China.

How does the 180 Turbo compare with a 1.5-litre non-turbo engine?

With 173 N·m available from 2,000 rpm, it pulls harder at low and middle engine speeds than the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre engines typical of this class, while its WLTC consumption stays below 6 L/100 km. The trade-off is the sensitivity every small turbocharged engine has to fuel and oil quality.

What does "180 Turbo" mean?

It is Honda's China-market badge for this 1.0-litre turbo engine, not a displacement or power figure.

Is the price better for several units?

Pricing depends on version, build month, quantity and shipping mode. Ask for a quotation per unit or per lot.
